Avian Care

Welcome to St. Francis Animal Hospital. We strive to provide exceptional medicine and surgery to our avian patients.

We have been a well-respected small animal, avian and exotic practice since 1992. A significant percentage of our practice is comprised of avian patients. We offer complete medical and surgical care, including radiology, laboratory analysis, ultrasonography, soft tissue surgery, radiosurgery, endoscopy, preventative medicine, and basic behavioral consultation. We understand the significance of the bond you share with your feathered family members.

Our veterinarians are dedicated to the practice of avian medicine and surgery. Our avian veterinarians and technicians are active members of the Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV) and devote a significant portion of their continuing education on the annual AAV conference and other local and national meetings. In addition, our doctors subscribe to the Veterinary Information Network Avian Boards, Avian Medicine Online, the Veterinary Clinics of North America Exotic Practice, Seminars in Avian and Exotic Pet Medicine, and Exotic DVM to continually further their knowledge on avian medicine and surgery.

We hope these articles will provide you with answers to the questions that you have regarding your feathered family member. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Due to a high volume of avian patients at this time, we currently have a waiting list for new patients. We hope to have the opportunity to work with you in the future.
