Dr. Patricia Novak received her veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota in 1997. She worked at Life Care Animal Hospital of St Paul for over 12 years before joining St. Francis in October 2009. During her career, she has also worked for South Hyland Pet Hospital in Bloomington, MN, and has worked as a relief veterinarian at St. Francis in 1999.

She is married to Dr. Ralph Weichselbaum and together they have two young children: Kipling and Anton. They share their home with 5 cats, 1 guinea pig, and 3 fish. In her spare time, she volunteers at her children's school and church. She also enjoys hiking, reading, and traveling.
