We know that having a pet undergo anesthesia creates some anxiety for their humans. At St Francis, every pet under anesthesia receives constant monitoring by a qualified veterinary technician or assistant. We use gas anesthesia and your pet is monitored with a pulse oximeter, an EKG, and a blood pressure machine. Most patients also receive IV fluid therapy while under anesthesia.
