We know how difficult it is to say goodbye to a loved one. When the time approaches for your pet to transition from this life, our team of compassionate veterinarians and veterinary technicians will help you choose what is best for you and your pet. Many of our clients prefer at-home euthanasia, while others prefer to say goodbye in the peaceful setting of St. Francis. In addition, we will help counsel you on the options available for after-care of your pet including burial or cremation services.

In Clinic: St Francis

Many families choose euthanasia within the clinic setting. We provide a quiet, private peaceful environment to say goodbye to your loved one. A veterinarian and technician will prepare you for what to expect and provide you support throughout the process. You are able to spend as much time as needed afterwards to say your final goodbyes.

If you prefer, we offer at-home euthanasia services. A veterinarian and technician will travel to your home to provide these services within the comfort of your pet’s own environment. Afterwards, we can take care of your cremation needs or help you arrange a pick up of your pet’s body when you are ready to say goodbye.

Regardless of whether you choose euthanasia within the clinic or at your own home, our compassionate, caring veterinarians and staff are here for you through the entire process. We will initially give your pet a sedative to help relieve any anxiety or discomfort that he or she may be experiencing. Your pet will be in a deep relaxed sleep – peaceful and comfortable during their final moments. Once both you and your pet are ready, we will proceed with euthanasia. A solution will be given to gently stop your pet’s heart. This will only take moments. Afterwards, we will give you the time and space that you need to say your final goodbyes.

As difficult as it is to make the decision to say goodbye via euthanasia, we consider this our final gift to your pet – we can help ease your loved one’s transition from this life with dignity, peace, and love.
